Terms and Conditions – The Bennu Center (Raleigh, NC)
Using www.BennuCenter.com, purchasing our services, booking a reservation online or offline, entering the property, or utilizing the venue or event space at The Bennu Center are separately and collectively referred to as “Engaging.” By Engaging, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. You certify that you are legally capable, of age, and that all information you provide is true and correct. You warrant that you are agreeing to these terms on behalf of all guests in your party and on behalf of your heirs, successors, or assigns. Any misuse or fraudulent use in your name or on behalf of a third party may result in loss of access, liability, or cancellation.
By using this website, you explicitly consent to all the Terms and Conditions described herein.
PART I – Short-Term Rental Terms and Conditions
Short-Term Property Information and Conduct Terms
The Bennu Center is a vegan, eco-conscious property. No animal products are permitted in shared spaces or during events. We provide clean, linened beds and sustainable amenities in all rooms. Linens are freshly washed and replaced between each guest visit. For extended stays by a single guest, linens are washed once every 7 days unless otherwise requested. Guests should leave doors unlocked if they want staff to clean.
Common household supplies (toilet paper, bulbs, etc.) are available upon request.
Check-In/Out and Short-Term Stay Access
- Check-in begins at 3:00 PM ET
- Check-out is by 10:00 AM ET
- Late check-outs begin at 11:01 AM and incur a $50 fee
- Early luggage drop-off is subject to availability
- Items left past check-out without approval are subject to storage fees
Guest Policy Terms for Short-Term Rentals
- All overnight guests must be registered in advance
- Smoking, drugs, firearms, open flames, or illegal activity are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property
- No candles or incense are allowed indoors
- Violation of these rules may result in cancellation without refund
Damage and Incidentals Terms
Guests agree to:
- Pay for any damages due to negligence or misuse
- Report any issues before check-out to be considered valid
- Authorize charges for damages or policy violations
Cards will be pre-authorized at check-in for incidentals. Debit card holds may vary.
Damage Fees and Penalties:
- Smoking indoors: $250 fine per day
- Lost key or access code issue: $75 replacement fee
- Unauthorized guest stay: $100 per person per night
- Furniture or property damage: full cost of repair or replacement + $100 administration fee
- Excessive cleaning beyond normal turnover: $150 minimum cleaning fee
PART II – Outdoor Event & Venue Rental Terms and Conditions
Event Space Rules and Terms
The Bennu Center offers indoor and outdoor event spaces. All use is at your own risk. Events must:
- Abide by all city ordinances, noise laws, and curfews
- Not include firearms, illegal substances, or smoking of any kind
- Respect our vegan policy: no meat, dairy, or animal products are allowed at any event
- Avoid use of candles, fire, or open flames indoors or with more than 10 guests
Minor Supervision and Consent Terms
- Events with minors must provide a minimum 5:1 chaperone-to-child ratio
- All minors must have written parent/guardian consent
- Events involving minors must provide proof of insurance and onsite security
Third-Party Vendor Disclaimer Terms
You are responsible for any third-party vendors used (caterers, tent rentals, DJs, photographers, etc.).
The Bennu Center is not liable for delays, damages, or harm caused by vendors you hire. All equipment, staffing, and services provided by third parties are entirely at your risk.
Event Security, Insurance, and Consent Terms
All events must be approved by the owner. All events over 10 guests must:
- Provide proof of event insurance
- Provide private security (licensed and bonded)
Media Use and Marketing Terms
By entering the Bennu Center, you grant permission for photos, audio, and video to be taken and used in marketing, social media, or promotional content without compensation. If you do not wish to appear in such media, notify us in writing before entering the property.
Venue Booking and Deposit Terms
A $250 per hour deposit is required to hold any venue or event rental date.
- This deposit is non-refundable if cancelled
- It is credited toward your final invoice upon confirmed booking
- Bookings are only confirmed when written approval is issued and payment is received
Conduct Policy and Cancellation Terms
We reserve the right to:
- Cancel any booking for violations of rules or unlawful behavior
- Remove guests or vendors who act unsafely or disrespectfully
- Charge for cleaning, property damage, or lost time
Noise Control and Quiet Enjoyment Terms
Noise must be limited to reasonable levels. Quiet Hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM (ET). Noise violations will result in cancellation or fines.
Liability, Indemnity, and Risk Terms
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bennu Center, its owners, staff, agents, and contractors from any claims, injuries, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the property, including those involving guests, vendors, or attendees.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Slip-and-fall accidents
- Damaged rental equipment
- Lost or stolen property
Legal Jurisdiction Terms for The Bennu Center
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be settled under its jurisdiction.

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of our site or venue constitutes acceptance of the current version. If any section is deemed unenforceable, the remainder remains in full effect.
